Well, I just wanted to say that now is the time to make yourself proud. Stay strong if you can for you family, but don't strain yourself too much. I know that it'll be very hard to get it out of your mind, but it's ok, it's not about blocking it out and acting like it never happened. Think about it as much as you need to, cry, whatever it is you do in times like these, but never give up. Things will get better one day, and I want you to be around when that happens.

Friends of him put this together, and I just found out about it. I listened to the whole thing that they put on. I started tearing up when I heard my dad speaking from sound clips.

I can't even begin to imagine what it would feel like. My aunty died of cancer a couple of years back, but it was nothing like it must be to lose a parent. I regret that I didn't talk to her more while I still could - she rang me up just to chat once (we knew her time was short) and I couldn't think of anything to say. I'm sure you have no such regrets in that regard, but don't get yourself down by thinking 'what could have been', just focus on the happy memories.
