Hacking MY CTGP channel isn't loading?

So I just downloaded CTGP for my Wii and I'm having a bit of a problem, it works fine when launched via the Homebrew channel, but it doesn't work when launched, via the CTGP channel on my main menu screen, it just gets stuck on a black screen when I hit start. Any and all help is appreciated.

As well, because I have a Mario Kart disk in my Wii now, the disk channel says it needs a wii system update. I'm told that I can bypass this message using priiloader, so if someone could explain how to do that it'd be great. Thanks again guys.

I got CTGP to work, however I still have to block updates with priiloader if someone can explain that.

Assuming you have already installed Priiloader,hold (RESET) while turning on your Wii to load it.

The "block online-updates and "block disc-updates" options are found in "System Menu hacks"

If you haven't already installed Priiloader, you should do this, especially if you don't have BootMii in boot2.

It's saying there are no hacks in the hacks folder so I can't block updates.
