Yeah, I 'RTFM' and finally figured that out
smile.gif
, but as soon as I let go of the C button, the menu would start scrolling off the screen again. So I just centered and then disconnected the nunchuk to temp. fix the problem. I'll have to try with another nunchuk to see if that was the problem. Thanks for the reply!

I wanted to know when will it be able to play perfectly h264 mp4 ( or mkv ) 720p or 1080p files?
Its a great job thnks

Just copied this from mplayer ce page on wii brew

HELP! Some files play back choppily!

Are you trying to play an h.264 encoded video and/or high definition video? The Wii just doesn't have the hardware to handle it. For more information, see
http://code.google.com/p/mplayer-ce/wiki/h264

Thank you, my dreams are gone now T.T
The best it can do is h.264 640x480 at around 1000 kbits/sec. That's pretty fine for standard def stuff. You really can't expect it to be able to play back HD videos when it can't even do that for games. Even the new Netflix streaming does 480p only.

Can somebody than explain to me why devices like WDTV can do it, and the wii lacks the horsepower? I'm not asking for HD but SD mkv./h.264 files would be nice (for anime purposes).
Also, has anyone experienced problems with dual audio in .ogm files (and subtitles likewise)?

QUOTE
The WD TV is a consumer device produced by Western Digital that allows users to watch videos, as well as view images and listen to music, from USB drives. It is capable of playing High-definition video through an HDMI port, in addition to standard video through composite cables. It can play videos in most common formats, including MPEG1/2/4, WMV9, AVI (MPEG4, Xvid, AVC), H.264, MKV, MOV (MPEG4, H.264), MTS, TP, TS. It can play music in MP3, WMA, OGG, WAV/PCM/LPCM, AAC, FLAC, Dolby Digital (AC-3), AIF/AIFF and MKA formats.

The hardware starts with a 300mhz TangoX MIPS 4KEc from Sigma Designs, which has 100MB of memory. [1][2]

The WD TV Live processor, in the other hand, features 500MHz cpu speed, a 333MHz coprocessor, a 333MHz DSP, and up to 1 GB of 64-bit DDR-2 DRAM. The WD TV Live comes with 512MB of DRAM and 256MB of NAND Flash memory installed. Western Digital has tweaked the original Sigma SMP8600 Family design slightly by including 6 video Digital to Analog Converters (DACs) which should give it the ability to handle high-def content with ease.
P.S. Forgive me for potentially stupid question , and bad english.

anyone any idea why mplayer ce doesnt work (for me) when clicked on from usbloaderd gx's hbc type mode.

I have mplayer ce, latest version, working fine on my soft mod 4.1 wii. I want to have priiloader run usbloader gx automatically, so i can avoid the wii menu. this should be fine as the only other program i use on the wii is mplayer ce, and i can reach that by pressing hbc from usbloader gx. However when i click on the mplayer ce directly i get a black screen, and when i click on a forwarders for it i get a screen dump.

clicking on the forwarder channel works fine.
clicking on either forwarder or actual app in hbc works fine.

neither works from usbloader gx....

For spanish you have to add:
subcp=ISO-8859-1

in mplayer.conf I think Brazilian use the same codepage

Rodries, a strange result...
i put two copies of that beta on my sd card.
one copy left the name as it is, dropped it in the root of the folder
the other copy renamed as boot.dol and dropped into the mplayer ce folder

id have thought that the first one might not work coz its not in its folder with all the other files.

First attempt, into usbloader gx, into its HBC, click on mplayer ce, which must therefore be the copy thats in its proper folder. Black screen crash.

second attempt, from priiloader selected the copy in the root folder to be installed file, then ran installed file. worked fine.

third attempt, from HBC clicked on mplayer ce, so the same copy as 1st attempt, worked fine.

So it has to be something to do with usbloader gx's HBC copy?

but at the same time, it is to do with mplayer ce, because everything else in my apps folder opens under the hbc function of usbloader gx, including geexbox, so why not mplayer ce?

That's for USB Loader GX team to figure out, since it's their loader which can't successfully load mplayerce, mplayerce team don't have to investigate since it boots from all sources from the most commonly used.

well no one HAS to figure it out , as both programs work well separately.

However if either side can figure it out it will be really good.

remember that it is mplayer ce related in so much as every other app works fine including geexbox
