Motorola has confirmed that its Xoom 2 tablet is on the way, which will come in two models. The Xoom 2 will come in 10.1in and 8.2in versions.

Both tablets will come with a 1.2GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, a 5MP rear facing camera and a 1.3MP font facing camera. Unfortunately they will ship with Android 3.2 Honeycomb rather than Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

It's a shame it won't come with Ice Cream Sandwich on launch, but surely an update or a custom ROM will show up to eliminate that issue!

Any ideas on the release date? I was thinking about getting a Xoom or Thrive for Christmas, but if there is something coming within a month or so after Christmas, I'm willing to wait.
