Hello, last year I used WiiGator to boot backups, here in May 2009, it seems as though this loader is obsolete.

I've been reading stickies and whatnot, but I haven't found what I'm looking for.

Right now, I'm asking, what is the best Wii ISO Loader available?

There's a whole bunch of hard drive ISO loaders now.
They all offer pretty much the same compatiblity, they just look different. You have one that looks kinda like the system menu, there are several coverflow-like ones.

I've read up about the USB Loader, but right now I'm not capable of using it.

I'm looking for the best compatible backup loader.

Well gamma is still the latest release.
But SoftChip still seems to be in active development

Disc based backup launching:
NeoGamma R2 or the latest SoftChip if you want to use a loader
cioscorp if you don't care to mess up your system, allows to play backups from the disc channel

Usb:
Well, there are at least 2 different kinds of loaders, the ones that use Waninkoko's cIOS(IOS249), which are most usb loaders (>90%?) and the ones that use Kwiirk's/Hermes' cIOS(IOS222). Hermes' cIOS is compatible with usb devices as lan adapters and usb microphones.

NeoGamma R2 is the latest release.

SoftChip has better compatability.

Sorry, but no. You have to compare with NeoGamma R2 if you take the latest SoftChip.

What about games like Red Steel that work after switching apploader (With your Toy)?

That's not required anymore, moving 1 line of memory stuff before the apploader fixed that. But Red Steel still needs to be patched.

QUOTE(Fellow @ May 21 2009, 12:10 AM) How exactly do I install NeoGamma R2?

Copy the .dol as boot.dol into a folder under the apps folder on your sd card.
