I've tried searching the forums for information regarding NES & SNES emulation
on a FireCard but have found no difinitive guide. Seeing as how I am a total noob
to all this it would be really helpful if someone could provide a clear and concise
walk through for someone as uninitiated as myself.

Some points of concern are
  • DLDI - Does FireCard automatically convert stuff of this nature?
  • Emulator - Any particularly highly recommended emulators for FireCard?
  • ROM - Do I need to do anything special for NES and SNES roms to be playable
Thanks a million!

-The FireCard auto-patches DLDI, meaning you can just toss it on your card and go; Make sure you have the latest firmware first.

-The best NES emu is NES_DS, and for SNES you want SnemulDS. Note that compatibility is not perfect for either of these, and may run glitchily or not at all. Look for compatibility lists first if you aren't sure.

-As for ROMs, with the emus above NES roms can go in any folder on the card, but SnemulDS looks in :/SNES. Again, if the game doesn't work, it's the emu, not the setup.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!
