My problem: I want to have more than 3 profiles for NSMB (we are 5 persons in our family). Is there a way to modify a copy of the game so that is use an other savegame and duplicate the number of profiles? If yes, I will change it for several games.
My command above do all of the requested steps while copying the image. If you are up for it there is a fairly in depth method you might try http://gbatemp.net/topic/128215-partitionbin-editor-released/ (have a quick scan through the whole thread but mainly Dack's posts)
I am not entirely sure how you might reconcile it with USB loading but it should not be that different.
Space is no problem. I have a 500GB drive an only about 80GB games. If it were me then I would find that as being the easiest solution, especially for my kids to just quickly choose one. It's only 360mb, which is not much, but if someone is REALLY anal then yeah having it take up twice the amount of space is not a good thing.
I've tested it with animal crossing and NSMB and it works perfect for me.wit copy SOURCEIMAGE DESTIMAGE --id=K
source and dest images can have any known format (iso, ciso, wbi, wbfs, wdf, wia)
The first letter of all ids is changed to 'K' (I use always this unused letter and remember it as 'Klone')
