So it saves the thumbnail info into the DPG4 file?
What about MP3´s is it also possible somehow to get a thumbnail for every MP3? Would be great for my kid.
If anybody knows other ways to get thumbnails showing please tell me?
I have some MKV´s and some DVD files that I want to convert to DPG4, but what formats does the DPGTools convert?
I have used software from xilisoft and worked great, but I guess I can use this to convert to format that DPGTools "knows"
and then convert to DPG4?
Are there any options to choos if DPGTools should convert to DPG, DPG2, DPG3 or DPG4? Or is it always DPG4 with the new DPGTools?
For MP3 thumbnails, you could use album art (Moonshell2 can show them, you just need the option toggled on). I have no idea if putting album art for all of your music is tedious or not though, since I've never done it xD.
DPGTools can convert all formats supported in FFMPEG I think (no basis for this claim)...Generally I have to convert my files to .avi because my MKV's have softsubs, and that is something that DPGTools can't add into the final product (you have to hardsub them into the video).
As for choosing which DPG to convert to, there are absolutely no options. For the most part, Moonlight kept to improving the DPG container with each new type (it would be really lame to go backwards wouldn't it?), so DPG4 should be best optimized.
QUOTE(FireGrey @ Dec 15 2010, 05:39 AM) I find DPG4 terrible, skiping back and fourth is very un-convenient i prefer DPG2, it has better quality and you can skip around everywhere easier. Anyway on-topic, wow you can make previews when you convert
