Hardware Monster Hunter New 3DS XL - real or not

For you Monster Hunter 3ds xl owners what signs can I see if its a real console and not one that has been case swapped? I found a decent deal at a pawn shop for one but comes with no box and does not have the downloaded game. Its on gateway firmware as well so this got me interested.

I tried looking but it seems that anyone with decent skills can take the plates and swap it on a black plain model. Or is there some other way to tell?

I own one... the american version but honestly i wouldn't know if you could really tell if they did a case swap out or not..course whats the point even if it was not an original the case is or aesthetic appeal is really all that matters anyway right.? as long as it functions the way its supposed to i would buy it lol
