can anyone tell me if demos get released at midnight? I'm hoping to stay up late tonight to get it so I can play it a bit, and play tomorrow morning before I go to work.

No, the eShop is usually updated at noon.
I'm not sure what timezone, I think EST, but that seems weird since NoA is in Washington..

I was able to pick up Fire Emblem from the eshop the day it came out at about 8am EST. I'd like to assume the E-Shop has been getting updated a bit earlier lately..

yeah I remember getting the fire emblem at 8am pacific time which would be 11am eastern. Now that I think of it I remember checking at midnight if fire emblem demo was up but it wasn't so I guess I answered my own question. either way looking forward to brushing up on my monster hunter skillz before the game comes out. I know I'll invest another 1000 hours in it as I did with tri.

I pretended to be sick from work so I could come home and play. having a blast. my 3ds will be with the demo loaded on constant standby mode from now till when the game comes out. can't really do that with the wiiu though.

Tried both, disliked both. Might not be worth it depending on if you know what the games are like, I'm more talking about Castlevania, that game really made me feel bad, I can't believe what have happened to the series, and I was looking forward to trying it. Just IMO
