Correct. I now see why, it seems the wrong file got uploaded in the update packs. It is trying to load 236. My apologies, re-upping packs now. If you want to be able to install the wads correctly, open wm_config.txt and edit it to say 36 instead of 236 and save. Then it should work. Please report back and let me know.
excellent, thanks. It worked correctly. (aside, in my previous post, I should've said 36, not 32

). I am now 4.2u, and can proceed with the remainder, shortly.

I'm getting a reproducible dump error when performing #2 under the heading "Installing cIOS & Patching the System Menu IOS (The good stuff!)". It's slightly different each time but always occurs.
I get a similar error while trying to execute the WADManager, which was obtained from 42modman.zip, and added to the apps folder on the SD card.

the crc32 hashes of the SD card files are the same as from the zip file d.l-ed (42mod.zip), the zip file has been checked as well against a 2nd d.l.

sysCheck reports indicate that the step just prior, "Installing a Trucha'd IOS into slot 236.", was performed successfully.

Please post a full syscheck. When does it code dump using modman? During install of the wads? Can you select the wads ok prior to that? When it first starts up? (If it is when it starts up, please delete wm_config from the /wad directory and manually select ios236 and the sd card. Please be specific

Thanks, manual selection resolved the problem for YAWM Multimod Batch. I can now also launch YAWM (standalone) without getting an immediate dump.

Next person that gets a code dump, please post a syscheck with details on exactly when it freezes with 42modman plz. Trying to track down the issue as I can't reproduce problem.

To clarify some details on mine: I started from a 4.0U console and eventually proceeded to getting errors during #2 under the heading "Installing cIOS & Patching the System Menu IOS (The good stuff!)". I used sysCheck included on 42mod.zip (12/12/10) for my console. The errors occurred first when trying to load YAWM Multimod Batch originally from 42mod.zip, nothing modified, and would occur immediately after selecting it to load and being on a black screen for a fraction of a second. This is a sample error, (some of the numbers would change each time). I then added the 'regular' YAWM to the SD card, obtained from the apps folder in 42modman.zip. When loading this app, I would get the YAWM red header and body background, the same as if YAWM was about to load correctly. I would only get this for a fraction of a second though, before I would get the same type of error. As instructed, I disabled use of wm_config.txt in the wad folder by modifying its name, and was then able to run YAWM Multimod Batch and manually select IOS236, after which I got '8 succeeded 0 failed'. The following report was generated prior to solving the problem.

Guys, I followed this guide and the Wii is hacked. I want to install WiiFlow Carbonik channel and NeoGamma channel and have both .WAD files.

I go into MultiMod manager and try to install them and it fails each time?? What am I doing wrong? Is there another way to get the channels installed?

Cheers,
M

Load ios236 and then install the channels. If you still get an error, let us know the error number.

Cheer Erik,
How do I load IOS236 mate?? What tool should I use? MultiMod manager or one of them? Excuse me ignorance on this one.

I used YAWMM, which is obtainable from 42modman.zip, but can also be found via www.completesoftmodguide.tk, and directly from http://code.google.com/p/yawmm/. MultiMod manager should also be fine as well. If you're using that program, then select the wad manager, and then to install a wad. Specify which IOS you'd like to use. In my case I used IOS249, but I'm not installing what you're installing, and burritoboy mentions IOS236, so that should be fine. A specific version of IOS may be needed for some apps.

Where in MultiMod Manger or YAWMM can one select the IOS to install an app under?

Cheers,

it's a requirement that a particular IOS be selected and used to install any app, so it cannot be missed. Try launching YAWMM and you'll see what I mean.

Again, www.completesoftmodguide.tk is a good guide, e.g. http://www.completesoftmodguide.tk/how-to-use/wad-manager

When on the main menu of MMM there is an option that says "Load another IOS"... That would be a good place to start

Or do as suggested above with YAWMM.

Cheers Erik, took me a while but I found it mate. All sorted now :-) One quick question, if I want to rip a Wii game inserted into the Wii drive to an external HDD what is the best way to do this? Is there a specific application and if so where might I get the channel? Do I need any specific IOS installed?

Cheers,
M
