Not sure why you guys are having trouble. I just downloaded the pack from mediafire to make sure it wasn't different than my hard drive, threw the files on the sd card and it loaded fine. Did you delete the 3 levels that it creates before launching the exploit?

Ya there are NO levels. And actually, my buddy got his used so i actually formatted the wii's memory before even modding it.

When i load smash bros. it asks me to create a save a new save, which i dont of course, follow the steps and it doesn't load the exploit.

i would do the indiana pwns but i dont have a copy of it.

Yes, I checked and the file above is there, but still says "no save file" after selecting stage builder. I wonder if my wii has something new cause I just purchased it last month.

Maybe Brawl v1.1 or system menu 4.3b what? Make sure you have only THIS st bin file.
edit: here is the smash stack readme from wiibrew:
QUOTE
1.Go to the stage builder, move any existing custom stages on Brawl to your SD card, and exit the stage builder. Smash Stack will not work if the console has any custom stages on it, even the three samples that come with a new file.
2. Connect the SD card to your computer and rename the "private" folder to "privateold" in the root of the SD card.
3. Copy the "private" folder from the Smash Stack download to the root of the SD card.
4. Grab a *.elf file (HackMii Installer works) and put that in the root of the SD card.
5. Insert the SD card into the Wii.
6. Go back to the stage builder and the .elf file will load.

I did follow the above instruction except that I don't need to move any custom stage cause I don't have any, no save file for Brawl, yet I have 1 save file on wii but it's for wii sport. Any only the bin file above in the private folder. I am on 4.3U with a black wii.

what do you mean Brawl is v1.1? how do I know it?

Thanks

try creating a save, then go into stage builder and delete the stages, exit to the main menu, place the sd card in and go back into stage builder...

Tried this, still the same thing.

I wonder if it's my SD card, but it's not SDHC, and I've tried 2 diff cards already, it seems like wii does not recognize the wii files in the SD, even though the SD is ok cause I verify it by putting a pic in and I can show it in the photo channel.

You deleted the saves inside SSBB without the sd card in? And then loaded up SSBB again?

I doubt this is it (since you tried multiple sd cards)... But you could try formatting the sd card and start from scratch... Just copy over the file pack (I know it is good, I just tried it)... Wait until brawl loads up, place the sd card in and try again...

If that doesn't work, try posting in the main wii hacking section and not this thread. It gets more views and perhaps someone has an idea that we are missing in here...

Thanks, Erik.

I finally got it worked, the important thing is that, I need a save file of Brawl on my wii to make it work, if I was presented the question "create new" and I answered "no" then proceed the guide, it won't work.

So here is how you could do it (the idea kind of come from burritoboy9984, thanks): with no SD card inserted in wii, run Brawl and say "yes" to create new save file, then run stage builder, and delete the 3 sample stages, get back to the wii main menu (but don't delete the save file for Brawl, this will prevent the "create new" quiz poping up when you run Brawl.) Now run Brawl, and preceed with the guide.

Thanks again, Erik.

Hello everyone!

I had a 4.1E Wii System menu, which I updated with the up42e.zip install files. After that I tried to install IOS36 in the MMM, but I got an -1035 error code. Then I saw that there is a fix for 42mod files, but when I try to install "IOS41-64-v2835.wad" with the Wad Manager 1.7 mod, I got an -1035 error too! I don't know what could I do... I wanted to start from the beginning, and I formatted my Wii. I installed HBC again, and tried to use MMM Install 36 again, but I got the same error over and over.
I tried to install it with IOS 36 (MMM says, that it is v65535), and with IOS15 rev 257.

What am I doing wrong? Please, help me!

Any help appreciated!

Edit: Oh, and I tried with the DarkCorp installer too (first option)... I hoped, that it will install anything, that can be anything good, sorry, I know that it was a stupid thing... Maybe it caused the error?

Oh, I forgot my main problem. -_- I cannot launch wad files. When I try to launch them, the Wii says, that it cannot be launched. Wich of the IOS-es should I use to install wad files?

What wad file are you trying to install? If you are wanting to mod your wii, it is done. You can (and should) follow the priiloader steps if you want, but everything prior has been done or had the equivalent done already...

Could it be that you are trying to launch a wad from a different region than your wii is?

explain what u mean by launching wads? did u install wad/channels and the channel would not load when launched later via the system menu?
edit: if so, FIX94 is most likely correct

Or are you having trouble installing wads?

be very specific with the problem plz
biggrin.gif

ie. what program u using to install and/or launch wads/channels

and what wads r u using specifically? out of region?
