Follow the guide from start (including the update)

If the mail isn't in your spam folder, you'll have to google for the files ...

I think I'll have to wait for the email, I'm a bit paranoid going through google incase I download the wrong files

k. I have a little issue. I was able to update to 4.2. My wii privious to this guide was quite screwed up, but the persisting problem is there is only a blank screen when i wish to bring up the system menu. I have to run the wii in maintenance mode

While continuing to the modify section, I am unable to pull up banner bomb. When I bring up the SD tab, the screen just freezes.
Any thoughts?
 
Alright so after updating successfully to 4.2E, everything works fine. Except for one game which is Super Smash Brawl. Any ideas as to why it doesn't work? The disc is not recognized at all.
 
I keep getting an error when updating to 4.2

I load the bannerbomb section, I load the dol. It then comes back and tells me....

'This installer can NOT continue' There is no known vulnerable IOS installed on this Wii.

Exit.

Any idea whats wrong?

Ok, I managed to fix that part, I just ran IOS Downgrader v1.0 and now I can run hackmii and install hbc, dvdx and bootmii
 
I've downloaded the modify.zip and extracted the contents to my freshly formatted SD card. I go back to the SD Card to run the bannerbomb but as soon as I click on the SD Card part it completely locks up the Wii. I have powered off and tried this 3 times now and the same thing happens. I formatted the card again and put the files back on and still it freezes when I goto the SD Card part.

Does anyone know why this is ?

Exactly what I just pointed out. I second this.
 
I managed to figure it out, you have to launch direct from the SD Card icon on the main Wii page (down at the bottom left) or it will hang.

Ah! Good find. Only problem for me is that maintenace mode doesn't have a sd menu...

Ah you have a slightly diff problem from the one I had then. I could see the SD card option from the main channel menu whereas yours isnt there. I'm not sure how to fix that dude, I'm not experienced enough sorry.

I don't think the cIOS downgrader will work. You want the IOS Downgrader only I believe.
