Modify Any Wii.[notice the period]

What is the meaning of "notice the period" ?

None of the modify.zip is working.
Not even banner bomb.
I tried this way to update, btu I kept getting a error.
i updated to 4.2 Nintendos way and only lost BootMii and everything else stayed.
Any ideas on hwo to install the new stuff to modify it?
Trucha bug restore failed and no more backups.

Firstly thanks to the OP for the guide I followed it right up to Enable system hacks, but couldnt do this, as was optional (I do have boot2) I left it.

Then installed neogammer.

I have burned an iso at 4x (albeit on a tuffdisc dvd-r) with imgburn but I am getting a green screen followed by just a black screen when I try to boot on neogammer. Tried twice and same result

I haven;t changed any settings from the setup guide and only added neogammer on.

What have I done wrong?

For info the disk quality came out at 95% on dvdinfopro, the download was only 328mb so was well compressed, could this matter?

Fairly new to all of this so any advice welcomed..........

what region is your game?
try another dvd-r brand

Ok, so I renamed the file but I get into it and its a warning screen that says if you dont agree turn off your wii, but it doesnt say what to press to continue. Nothing seems to make it continue.

I keep hitting errors.
It will not install anything.
When I tried the update by this it would not let me install the wads.
I was told to update by Nintendo.
I did.
I planned jsut to reinstall eveything like new.
Well everything was left.
But I can not load backups and BootMii is not there anymore and it can not find a IOS to use to install BootMii or HBC.
The Banner Bomb goes to start and I hit 1.

The Installer can NOT continue!

Okay I need help and i need it bad.
Note: This was 4.1 to 4.2.
I used that Wanankio Safe Update 4.1 when I update to 4.1 awhile back.

Oh, one last question...
do I need to leave anything besides the apps on the sdcard?
is there anything I cant delete from the sd?

you dont have the bootmii folder on your sd card

bad burn or you have a d3-2 dvd drive.

nice one! i got bootmii back now. in another post you mention dead laser? could my drive be broken. the wiis a few years old so i doubt its d3-2 drive

hi again, been out to buy some verbatim, they are showing a poorer quality than my tuffdisc burn

pic attached, best burn i could get, but all I get when load dvd on neogammer is green screen for a second followed by black screen and wii locks

this was burned at 4x on imgburn

i get a dvd read error 1101... i tried settings in the readme, anything else i should try? would that ciosCORP or sumthing work better?

My WII is already softmodded but not on 4.2. Sorry if this is a ridiculous question, but can i follow this guide, or should i do something else? (look for something else on the board.)

i burned it using imgburn at like 2x... im pretty shure i did a verify of it to...
