How do i do that?

Not sure, but would replacing the boot.dol or boot.elf on the root of his SD to the boot.dol of dopios do the trick? I mean: would bannerbomb then load dopios instead of the hackmii installer?

KICK ASS PROGRAM! download the files from NUS downloader, then run NusFoldersRenamer.exe, and it will copy and paste the files into the proper folders automatically, so you can copy it to your SD card without having to organize all the folders to be compatible with DOP IOS

What am I allowed to delete off my SD now that I'm finished?
(I don't want to delete anything that is needed for anything to work properly)

KICK ASS PROGRAM! download the files from NUS downloader, then run NusFoldersRenamer.exe, and it will copy and paste the files into the proper folders automatically, so you can copy it to your SD card without having to organize all the folders to be compatible with DOP IOS

OK, didn't work. I've used the NUS downloader to get latest version of IOS36. Put the directories on the SD. Use DOP IOS MOD and select IOS36 to use to install other IOS's. Yes to all the option then it fails to load 00000001-00000024 v3351.

Can I just use NUS to make the WAD file then install this WAD using WAD Manager, call it 249 then use DOP IOS to patch it?

k, so do this

Run NUS Downloader. Make sure you choose the correct IOS and version that you will be using in DOP IOS (do not choose to download the "latest version"). Then make sure pack wad and decrypt contents are NOT checked (if they are checked, it will still work, but many .app files and 1 .wad file will be created, taking up more space than required). Then download this small app (http://www.easy-share.com/1907826316/NusFoldersRenamer%20v1.0.0.zip), extract the contents inside your NUS downloader folder, then double-click NusFoldersRenamer.exe. It will create a 00000001 folder in that same folder that contains all the files you just downloaded from NUS downloader, all saved in the correct folders

Ok so i downloaded dopios and put the boot.elf on the root of the SD card, I went to the SD card menu and it says Load boot.dol/elf i clisk yes and the screen turns black. What am i doing wrong?

why r u loading files via bannerbomb? it should work in theory.... but save the boot.dol file for DOP IOS in the following location

SD:/apps/dopios/boot.dol

then load your homebrew channel and it will be there, load it that way.

It might not make a difference to your blackscreen problem, but at least you wont be loading apps like a noob anymore

he had cIOScorp installed
updated like a fool
it updated his cIOS's to stubs so dop-ios obviously work correctly
and also erased his homebrewl channel
so he trys to load the hackmii installer
and gets the no vulnerable IOS message

thats why he doesnt use hbc

umm did i mention i dont have a homebrew channel, it went away after i updated to 4.2

Press right until you see IOS53.
Press A to select then press yes to install and Sig Hash Check.
Press right until you see IOS55.
Press A to select then press yes to install and Sig Hash Check.
Press home to return to HBC

When it first boots up choose IOS 249
then after that, navigate to IOS53 and press A to install then IOS55

When you start dop ios mod it will ask you what ios to run from. You select 249 and press A.

Then it will ask you what IOS to patch. Select 53 and press A. Etc..

I dont know why ios55 and 53 patching is needed by the way. I never did it. But I only use USB loading, no backup discs.

IOS 53 and 55 are for wiiware and vc compatibility

Sorry if this has already been asked, but if I do an official update to 4.2 won't it update my boot2 to version 4. Thus preventing me from using Bootmii at Boot2?

Or has the new hackmii installer got round this?
