Formatted it reads and enters the card but with the files from the mod.zip it simply doesnt advance. Guess i'd better buy a sandisk sd...

Having : Virgin Wii updated to 4.2E (on purpose for testing this!)

Indiana exploit installed HBC, DVDx + Hackmii
Rest of steps followed from Step nr. 2.

Playing perfect from Backuploader chan. ios249
Playing perfect from USB loader ch.

In your first post you said it updated to firmware 4.1, I am already on a virgin 4.2u. Can I still use this guide to softmod my wii? looking to get homebrew channel and neogamma r8 beta to play backups. Thanks

I am doing the 4.2 method and my wii keeps freezing after it runs the Sig Hash Checks in step 11. Also, i don't know whether I am supposed to be installing the old versions or new versions of IOS53 IOS55 and IOS70. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I just finished 4.1 Offline Method

When I put an SDHC card in the slot the wii makes a sound and the icon lights up.
When I click the icon it says "this device inserted in the SD card slot cannot be used."
When I try to run an app thats on the sd card by forwarder it tells me there is no SD card mounted.

I can use the cards on another wii thats modded to 4.1u how come it wont work on this one??

the newest version man,
if it freezes then just restart and try again.

1b] Run Trucha Bug Restorer
Choose IOS15 and press A. (Important)
Wait till it says Press 1 then press it.
Choose IOS36 menu. In there use these settings

this is where the problem is
it says failed to write to mem.
do I need to go back to 3.3U

Cause I want to go to 4.1(as xzxero recommends) and NOT on 4.2.
