Tutorial Modify ANY Wii 4.3 & below

I had that ticket issue a few people were talking about.
used .29 JODI and installed fine.

When try to update it within the preloader it just hangs on "updating change log..."

So then i used preloader 30 right after, and it installed fine, but then after the 5 secs wait, it puts me back to HBC, it does it every time i try to run 30 from the HBC.

When i turn on the wii it auto shuts down to standby.

I have looked at the sets and everything is set to systemmenu. So i don't know why it does this.

Had to hold reset and power to get back to its menu. (kinda scared me, doing this on a 64+, thought i had a brick)

So i downgraded back to .29

Anyone else having/experiencing with these symptoms?

i can tell you haven't been following the preloader 30 thread the new preloader v0.30 rev3 does away with the "auto shuts down to standby" problem you were having. and yes all updating to preloader 0.30 rev3 http://wiibrew.org/w/images/7/74/Preloader...0r3-phpgeek.rar should be done by downloading to pc or mac loading onto SD and installing through HBC. going back to HBC after preloader install is supposed to happen. then you shutdown your Wii and boot into preloader to change your settings.

looks liek i did everything on this guild on a difrent wii but wouldn't let me install the preloader. and I some of the wiiware I installed finish ok when installing but don't show up in wii menu any ideas

if you cant install preloader then you have to trucha on IOS36

Installing Preloader .29JODI worked fine. I will hold off on .30 for a little bit.

For those with the GOT ROOT! just do the .29 JODI version instead of .30. You can update later.

well I found things about cIOSCORP v3.4 hopefully this is correct I'll try it in the morning

read more on it looks like that won't work with 4.2u
should i use Dop-ios or something like that and just use the latest ios36?

This is a big step thats why its in 3 parts.

will just freeze your wii.
grab preloader .30 and install it.

i recommend you update to 4.2 first via nintendo then follow the 4.2 guide.

yea just drop an email and you will get a response, try it out.

Open DOP-IOS MOD.
Choose IOS36
Press 3x A.
???
Profit.

ok so i was happily going threw the guide but when i booted the Bootmii I didnt install the DVDX option. Didn't want to complicate things you know.

but then comes step 4a and ISO 249 isnt there. 354 is though.

I did some research on ISO 249 and from what I can put together this is directly related to DVDX

so my question is. Do I just skip steps 4a, 4b and 4c? If not then why can't I choose ISO 249?

I'm really excited to document this process to make a video. hopefully helping others in the future!

Me too got to part 4 and cannot find IOS for install not coming up, any ideas?? followed your excellent guide for 4.1 last month and succeeded and now am stuck on the 4.2 at this point.

did you install the XDVD? can you still boot your run your Bootmii (i mean, if you dont have it running on Boot-2 that is..)

Ive been sitting here all night hitting refresh waiting for a response. I'm going to bed now dreaming of a solution.
