I do the entire process for official 4.2U Firmware. It's softmod my wii, but I got some insues:

1: In WAD manager 1.5 it give me error -1 when I try to load from USB, USB 2.0 devices and SDHC (the wads are on "WAD" directory inside devices ROOT)

2: USB and SDHC couldn't mount in Homebrew Browser and WiiExplorer

3: In GH5, GHWT and RB, when I downloaded musics from music store, I can't put them on the SD/SDHC card when the game is loaded from USB Loader (tested with Wiiflow 1.0, Wiiflow1.1 and U-Loader)

I'm using a 3.5" SATA2 320GB (36GB FAT32 and WFSB) HDD with enclosure

I used signcheck and it gave me this answer:

"SignCheck 0.3 aka /dev/nintystuff build report"
"Wii region", Usa
"Wii unique device id", 46689148

Could you help me?

THANKS!!!!

Hi , I have used the guide step by step and loved the ease , thank you ,
but I'm having a usb issue with rock band2 ,is there a easy fix for this ?
thanks again Bud.....

Madworld isn't working. Black screen. Sound kicks in after 20 seconds or so.

cIOS 38 rev 14 installed. (I've read how it worked for someone on rev 12/13, and not 14.)

Latest versions of IOS 38, 53, 55.

This is driving me nuts, haha.

I'm 100% sure the ISO is NTSC, as is my Wii.

Guess I got another question.. I used the Firmware Updater 4.1 and it seemed to work. Now, in my Wii's settings, is it still suppose to say 3.2U like it does? I was assuming that the 4.1 updater just installed the goodies of 4.1, w/o really installing 4.1.

Am I correct?

You mean with USB instruments or load the game from a USB loader? I loaded the game from U-Loader and Wiiflow and both work (IOS222=38+37), but I played only with the wireless guitar

I manage to mod my 4.2 wii.
I have several question regarding the mod:
1. May I ask what will happen if I didn't install the MODSpatcher? (I do not have any Gamecube controller)
2. Everytime I turn on my wii I will go to the menu to choose systemmenu, homebrew channel, installed file? How to cancel this menu so everytime I turn
on my wii I will straight away go to the channel selection?

Thanks in advance

Enter the settings menu for preloader and you will see some options.
The only ones you need to worry about are the first two.

Autoboot and Return To

Autoboot will be set to disabled.
Return will be set to preloader.
You need to change both of them until they say systemmenu.
Once you have changed them both to systemmenu scroll down to the bottom
and select save settings to save the changes you just made.

Doing this will prevent preloader menu from loading everytime you turn on the wii.

Thanks it work

if you followed the guide, set up your usb loader to run the game using cIOS 222.
the settings are different for each loader.

my madworld works via usb.
you loading through usb or disc?

if the firmware updater 4.1 didnt update you to 4.1, then it didnt function correctly.
sorry, but your assumption is incorrect.

i'm loading it from usb.

well i could have sworn when i ran the 4.1 updater before it successfully finished. then when going into my wii's settings to see what firmware it was on, it said 3.2U.

guess i thought that was normal, haha. i'm running the updater as we speak. i'll update this with the results.

::update::

oh, guess i didn't notice before..

it downloaded all the required ios's and the system menu, etc.. but gave me an error -1036 when trying to install the system menu 4.1U

but ya know.. i don't really need 4.1U, do i?

...another update...
well i officially got 4.1U installed properly.

still no madworld. grrr.

give me a few other ideas if ya can, xzxero.

thanks.

On a different topic, how long does it take to get the link to newmod.rar? I was wondering if the email on the first post is still being checked.... I've seen xzxero update the first post a few times already, but no reply to my email.
Sorry for bothering.

Quick question:

I had the Mios Patcher v8 installed but encountered problems when trying to play GC Backups(cIOSCORP problem?)

Any way I uninstalled it using Mios Patcher. Is it now completely uninstalled and the original Mios is installed again or are there leftovers? Only for my interest...

What about getting a MIOSv8 wad and installing it with the Wad manager?

Thank you so much xzxero

I upgrade my 3.4u to 4.2u. First I took my old nand.bin backup in order to clean the wii. I uninstalled the HBC, dvdx and bootmii. Upgrade trhough Nintendo to 4.2u, then carefully follow your 4.2u guide. Now I'm a happy user
