DarkCorp isn't installing for me. It gives me this error:
"Exception 0. Failed to initialize device. Press A to reboot and try again".

What should I do? I've tried both methods, IOS 249 and 222. Both give the same error.

Please keep to one thread.... You've littered the board with your various issues.

Just do a re-mod with ModMii... We really have no idea what you've done to your wii with the failed DARKCORP installs and such. do what I told the last guy to do in the noob thread...

So I'm totally new to the Wii modding scene but I have successfully installed the HBC using this guide. However I'm having a problem with the "Installing cIOS & Patching the System Menu IOS (The good stuff!)" step. I keep getting a DSI error upon running the Wii Mod Batch (2.8). I'm using an 8GB San Disk SDHC. Could this be the problem?

Shouldn't be, try loading the normal Wii Mod, and see if it can see the directory in wad manager. Then try to install one of the wads.

I tried that method as well. Still not working =\

I really have no idea as to what I could be doing wrong. The second I load wii mod or wii mod batch I get the error.

Does having a gamecube controller plugged in matter?

It could, you have the latest hbc installed, right?

-Erik

I assume so since I used letterbomb. I'm at work right now so I'll have to try it without the gamecube controller when I get home.

EDIT: No luck trying it without the GC controller. Getting the same results. Also tried installing a single wad and got the same DSI error message.

EDIT 2: I successfully installed IOS236 Installer. What should I do now?

you should continue following whichever guide you've been using. IOS236 can be used to install wads and cIOS.

Go into the Wii Mod folder in apps/wiimod, open wiimod.txt and change the line AutoLoadIOS=0 to AutoLoadIOS=236. Then try to install the wads. If it works, then ahbprot mode isn't working, but the mod was successful (after you continue to priiloader, which probably won't work either)... If it works, please post the version of your hbc.

So I tried using Smash Stack on a 4.3 Black NSTC Wii, and I followed the instructions on the Complete Softmod Guide, and it said it'd boot when I entered stage builder, and it didn't. What should I do? Try Letterbomb or whatever, since Brawl is the only game I have on the list?

Is it because it's not a first print? It's a copy of the game with a solid label on the disc.

Letterbomb is the latest Wii exploit and is currently the only to way to hack a Wii on System Menu 4.3 without using a game

I have a brand new Wii (white) with menu version 4.3E factory installed. Can I ask if anyone else in the same situation has used this guide with the Letterbomb method and has been successful?

Just thought I'd ask as I don't want to break my little boys Wii... It was his birthday present!

It will work fine.
