I installed the other folder, but a bunch of the files game me error 1035 as well and I'm still getting errors and etc. . .

Once again, follow these steps, and you won't get the 1035 error

Ok, download up42.zip
copy it to the sd card
load up MMM inside hbc
go to load another IOS and choose to load ios236
go to wad manager
go to the "other" folder
install all the wads

hi, please help. after carelfully follow the first post in softmod 4.2u guide and had successfully hack it. in the hackmii installer there's no dvdx to install. the old hack file i use from a friend had hbc, dvdx, and bootmii. when i use my friend old hack wii file it work on new super mario backup dvd. when i use the first post guide here, the backup new super mario dvd is not working. i can play for a few mintue then black screen pop up with letter saying, an error has occurred.press the EJECT button, remove the disc, and turn off the power to the console.Please refer to the Wii operations manualfor details.
as i stated, it work b4 but now it;s not. please help. my wii wireless is on but i already enable block update and enable block disc update, enable all free region. there other who asked this question but no1 reply

I updated to 4.3 using Nintendo's way. And now, I try to use the IOS236 Installer v3, but I get a DSi Exception after pressing 1. It says Patching IOS for a fraction of a second and changes to the exception. It happens on a 100% chance. Worst part? I can't even use WAD Manager right now to restore IOS36. (which is why this may be happening, cannot be sure)

I do have 1.4, it still gives me the same error. 10 times. In a row. Nothing else gives me that error, though, I just went on Homebrew Browser with no error.

It was Pal and i use the converter to ntsc. However when i insert the dvd i still need to change option on force vdo to 480i. Not sure y eventho i enable all region free in the system menu hack. If i were to play backup ntsc new mario it works find, pal new mario gave me error when play abt few mintue. Is it bcause i patch pal to nstc that y it gave error when playing.

Okay. I also just came back from the bathroom to see... my sister playing with the Wii Remote. She pressed 1. Dammit. I'm screwed. And I just wanted to use my backups.

Only one time the ver. 1.4 Installer worked properly until the choice "push 1 or push 2", but I wasn't able to see the details and make my choice due to onother DSI error.

So I run again the IOS236 Installer, but it said that it cannot do anything because there was no "suitable" IOS.

I went on with the guide (remove stub IOS, install cIOS, patch System Menu, Priiloader and HBC again) and everything went right, no errors.

My question is: have I properly installed IOS236 or not ?

IMPORTANT NOTE (maybe it is useful for the debug of IOS236 installer): I have NOT my Wii connected to Internet and NOT defined any Internet connection.

you can try using TBR 1.14 to get a patched IOS236


Press B to choose No IOS Reload
Press 1 when it says to
Go to the IOS36 menu
Change the "install to slot" from "36" to "236"
Press A to install it

You'll either need an internet connection or the IOS36-64-3351.wad file on the root of your sd card.

No, that was my question: I went on with the guide and didn't have any error, but I'm not sure about having installed everything I need.

For example, I've used the Configurable USB Loader ver.59 without any problem, but I've not tried loading a DVD backup with Neogamma.

So I'll do as you suggest: I'll post the results tomorrow, as I'm working now and I've not a Internet connection at home ...

Only homebrew channel get deleted (and any other forwarder/wiiware/VC/custom channel). Any ticket and Wii Shop account history will remain too.

You need to use an IOS with trucha bug.

And then it suggest me to downgrade IOS15, but I'm afraid doing so and I don't have the needed IOS15-64-v1031.wad file.

It's strange: it says that the file IOS15-64-v1031 is needed although I've followed the last version of the guide, with IOS15-64-v1032.wad ....

In reply to all those having the code dump on the IOS236 installer. I had the same problem, and everywhere I went said to setup your wireless internet, which it was. However, I was doing this for a friend, and my home wireless was setup in the 2nd connection slot (out of the 3 slots). I ended up deleting all the wireless connections, and setting my connection up in the first slot. After that the IOS236 installer ran correctly. Hope this helps some people.

hi thank you for your great guide in 4.2u. i had virginize my wii to 4.2u then do a system format in the setting. Yesterday i had following everythinhg in your 1st post eventho i'm on 4.2u. and everything was successful. my question is, do i need to install Hermes cIOS v4? How do i know if i have the latest update in cIOS or IOS? thank you again. Because when i play backup samurai warrior 3 PAL with Neogamma r9 beta44 i only see black screen.

That file xz linked to doesn't have the required meta.xml, that is why it didn't work, try this one

Follow the same steps he posted above.

The cios.zip is only for people who want different ios's installed in different slots than the guide does (for one reason or another).
