Wildwon registered April 08 and he's a mod for a while now, so that shouldn't be too much of a problem
Also its only for the wii boards

and the best wii hackers here aren't really the weirdest people of the forum

Trust me I know that there are members more qualified than me, I guess it really goes down to who makes the most noise on the forum and who they know well.

Trust me I know that there are members more qualified than me, I guess it really goes down to who makes the most noise on the forum and who they know well.

I would reccomend IronMask but I don't know where the hell he went after his Wii bricked.

Once I get around to it I'll work some more on these.

The things I'm not entirely clear on are downgrading and LU64+. I've never hacked one of these newer wiis before so I don't know what guides are useful and well written.

Everything with downgrading is outdated
LU64+ wiis can be hacked with bannerbomb and the Trucha bug restorer

I can give more info if needed.

This is one of the reasons I suggested a new mod
Someone who know about EVERYTHING (so not just wii hacking, but also BL, emulation, ...)
but as long as the jobs done its good.

Yeah we need more mods that know about hacking and stuff. That would help with removing old guides.

There is absolutely no reason to downgrade anymore. In fact, there is really no reason to be on any system menu lower than 4.1. All necessary IOS can still be trucha-bugged on 4.1.

Downgrading is an instant brick on LU64+ Wiis and is a barely recoverable brick when downgrading from 4.0 to 3.x as they use different system menu IOS.

So any guide that recommends downgrading for any reason should be hidden from noobs.

As far as needing more mods goes, there are quite a few people here who know what they're talking about. If everyone here could agree on which guides to keep and which to remove, there shouldn't be a need for a Wii Hacking Czar. Pretty much everyone replying in this thread offers some tech support regularly to all the noobs so once there is a definitive guide here that is universally used it should lessen the support load some.

yup yup, i dont know why people still think 3.2 is the best firmware to at. i mean, back in the day, yeah because its was the only firmware to have the trucha bug in effect but now theres no need. Were going to be seeing more and more lu64+ wiis here so downgrading is going to be kind of dangerous.

Yes, he is very knowledgeable
However, he once stated that he doesn't want to be a mod if I remember correctly
(In my memory, he said to hadrian once he doesn't want to cause he would abuse his power or something)
It could've been someone else though

But we all know (hopefully) that its not just about knowledge. Mods have to be an example for other members (no spamming, being polite, ...)

WiiPower is an awesome help on this board. He has works on a lot on projects though so time might be an issue for him, and he can also be pretty tempermental at times

I personally almost never get mad. I've answered uber-many n00bs (how do you think my postcount got this high? Not for spamming I can tell ya

). And with answering, I really mean answering, not like some people here SHOUTING or telling to search.
