i went through modmii (not a virgin ) and installed the apps mod manager and yawn ect. set ios236 then installed all the wads modmii downloaded through the guide.
then i set priiloader to block net and disc updates only.

installed wiiflow and config usb loader and used wii backup manager to put my backup on usb stick.

game loaded fine!

can i connect to the internet on this now?

Yeah you can connect to internet now.

Just some additional info. You Wii will work as any other unmodded Wii on the net. You can play online etc etc.
The only thing is that you wont be prompted to update from the internet and/or discs, so you might have to manually update something later if Nintendo releases something new (very unlikely).

what about game updates wont they be needed for their server?

Internal game updates like call of duty are no problem too.
