There seems to be a mistake in the Windows documentation, you must use "Aladdin Expander 5.0" to extract the stuffit files.
Sorry for any inconvenience.

I can't use it; I'm running linux. "Can't someone just host the pre-extracted files?" (

i already have the boot disk .... i found it..and I did manage to
extract the os with the newer stuffit but when it comes to the extraction
of the games it didnt work..it seamed that any file in the root of the archive where extracted as 0 in size and also now I cant delete them! ..........
Ok so thanks
I will try stuffit 5.0 to see if it extracts the files.....

ok I just tried it...
the drag and drop window is there!
however still weird zero file size prob
with the three games I have tried the main files are only zero in size and cant be deleted....

Ok I have the os working....again now...
now how do i get a game on this thing ?
AM i doing it wrong or is there a problem with the games that I have tried ?

yay it works im rocken oregon trail...
thanks alot
hey whats the highest OS version I can use with the ds version ?

thanks allot lazyone for this awesome software you are a genius.

ps. where can I download mac os

You can get up to 7.5.5 for free from apple's site, look for their older software downloads.
There is one catch, I never found a way to install it on a PC so unless you have a real mac you are out of luck.

Besides, you generally want to stick to 6.0.8 and the 2.5MB build for maximum speed anyway.

Ok....The only reason I wanted to do that is so I can install a later version of stuffit because the stuffit 4 that I am running in 6.0.8 is not extracting the sits....there isn't even an error

That is probably not a Stuffit issue, HFV Explorer is not guaranteed to work 100% of the time.
I have not yet found a foolproof method of downloading mac stuff on a pc, some stuff works and others don't.

You can try other copy modes in HFV Explorer which may help, though I find .hqx files to be the most reliable with that method.

I'm at step 5 in the Mini vMac DS Doc.txt and I'm stuck.

From there the directions aren't exactly clear to me. I copied everything over to the Supercard and I get the flashing question mark at startup.

First, where does the mac_hd.img file go? Or does that file get renamed to disk0.img, or is it disk0.dsk like the troubleshooting.txt says?

I've tried a few different combos, moved the files to /vmac, to the root and no luck.
