The game is looking fantastic, it also looks really fun.
It's like Inafune is showing his middle finger to Capcom and saying:
Fuck You! that's how you do a Megaman game!

And now Capcom will send them a C&D for being "derivative of their intellectual property"...

didnt they try that already? i feel like this happened already

also not sure if i like how the dash seems to make you invincible ... seems like that would make 80% of all megaman like bosses redundant

It probably won't protect you from all damage, only from some type thereof (like laser beams or the boss's waterfall at 1:15).

But honestly, would you (everyone in general) favor this game over the development of a new megaman x game?
Everyone in general? I couldn't care less. Personally, I'd rather have X9. Actually, I'd rather have Legends 3, then Tron Bonne 2, then Command Mission 2, then Megaman X9, but that's not what you asked.
Yes. It's basically the same thing but a little more fresh, with some new mechanics and things.
Aside from the will of the developers, there's nothing stopping a theoretical Megaman X9 from being fresh, with some new mechanics and things. From the previews and whatnot of Mighty No. 9, it seems pretty easy. The X series (although not so much in certain parts) had its fair share of difficulty. I just hope Mighty No. 9 surprises me.

I agree.
I personally would have preferred an x9. However, I would like to expect some fair share of difficulty from mighty no. 9 as well. Let's just wait and see.
