I got a 2gb micro sd card from costco 1 year ago, and have had this question for quite some time. When i plugged the card in it gives me only 1gb of total space available instead of 2gb. I use a cylcods and use the adapter provided. i tried formatting and nothing happened it still stayed 1gb instead of 2. Any ideas on whats wrong?
Thanks consolemaniac

He does have a point. Now i do understand that most storage space type disks(HDD, Thumb, SD's, etc.) often doesn't show the full amount of space. but a whole GIG less on a TWO Gig chip?? Def. sounds like a fake. My apologies to ya my bro.

did any of you read my post? I bought it from COSTCO!!!! ITs not fake its a real sandisk. Costco has its own website look at it, it just so happens to ba an actuall store. I managed to solve my problem. Turns out my computer is old and cant read 2gigs. It formatted it and then left me with 2 parts a 1gig usable and 1 gig of unallocated space. Now anyone know of a good 3rd party formatter and a link please.
