how fast is the DSTwo built in CPU? Is it possible to have perfect or near perfect emulation on the DSTwo's CPU like in the VBA emulator on a PC?It's nowhere near PC speed.

In otherwords is the limitation in the current GBA Emulator not being optimized or in the CPU itself? It's the bandwidth between slot-1 and the DS, from what we've read.

Also would it technically be possible to use the DS's CPU to emulate GBA games if the firmware is hacked? I'm fairly sure the 3DS CPU can emulate GBA games without breaking a sweat.
The DS is hacked, we have complete over the ARM9 and ARM7. They're just too weak to emulate the GBA fluently.

I for one....really like the silky smooth movement and frame rate of the GBA metroid. Its refreshing. That is lost with DSTWO's GBA EMU. Another thing that kinda troubles me is when reviews check roms and list a rom such as this as "okay" when it is anything but.
Thx for the info Rydian.

Well I played VBA perfectly on a Pentium II PC, surely the CPU in the DSTWO is close to that speed? (not necessarily clock speed but performance speed in general)

What do you mean?

so you're saying the DSTWO's onboard CPU is faster than either CPU's in the DSi? Then what about the 3DS?

he means that the amount of data that can simultaneously move between the dstwo and the ds is seriously limited, to the point where the emulator is limited by it instead of the cpu itself

I actually have played it on an original cart.
I finished it, too.

I can safely say NDSGBA does a good job with this game.
Same here, got the original game cart and tried it on the DSTWO emu also and it works fine.
I think Fusion is smoother than Zero Mission to begin with, at least that's the feel that I got between the two.
