Gaming Metroid Prime 3 friend code topic!

So all of you that have recived vouchers, what the hell do they do?
Is it just to buy locked extra content, which is the plague of console games today.

I know how I get them, but what do they do when you send them?
Do they unlock the secret multiplayer mode or something.... yes I know, it's not there..I'm just being ironic...

u can unlook things like ingame "picture-shot-function" etc.. thats all in moment...
i dont know what else will come...

Yep, it's basically just the general Wii code you'd be using when adding somebody to your address book.
There you can also find your own code btw ;-).
Just remember that you need to have WiiConnect24 enabled to share codes.

A funny voucher (with a bit of spoilers)...
After having got the turbo ball, just turbo in the middle of bipeds robots, and hop a "Bowling with robots" voucher

OK, I didn't know if it was a game specific code I just couldn't figure out how to get or what. I added a few people from here to my address book.

Y'all get notifications when someone tries to add you, right? Oh, and did you know you get a new friend code when you format? Helpful I suppose if you sell your console, but not if you just want to clear your memory... Oh well.

Every major Wii game from this point in needs this system in place. Only being able to unlock characters or levels or items in Smash Bros Brawl, by either winning a certain amount of games online, or by gaining friend vouchers to turn into credits would be awesome.

Hope Nintendo realize this and implement the feature in all their upcoming first party titles.

This game just gets better and better, the attention to detail in it, is staggering. I've gone right through Bioshock, and had plenty of WOW moments, but every room i go into in MP3 i'm having those moments.

It really is just a stunning game overall, a definate work of art, much in the same way Zelda OOT, Mario 64, Super Metroid, Super Mario World in their days.



Damn lucky to be playing it too, it seemed with the on-off rate of NTSC games working on PAL, (Alien Syndrome, Boogie not working, Madden 08 working) that Metroid Prime 3 was a likely NOT WORKING game, but, instead Karma has been good and instead Brunswick Pro Bowling aint working for PAL.

Definately going to buy this in October when it releases in Oz though, for the artwork/booklet/disc and of course support to Retro, i'd love to see them take off where Metroid Fusion finishes and begin a whole new trilogy.

I got a question for the peanut gallery though: How do you earn green medals? I want to get the screenshot tool but so far haven't earned any green medals so I can't get it! I've played quite a while (just about to upgrade my gunship for the first time) so I expected to be able to take screenshots by now. What do you do for those?

Heheh, funny you should ask that mate.

RED MEDALS : Scans of enemies
GOLD MEDALS: Boss fights on different difficulties and special stuff
BLUE MEDALS: Scans of Lore


and....................


GREEN MEDALS

You can only get by getting Friend Vouchers.

Chances are man, you have a few friend vouchers, if you sent me 2 for example, that would turn into 2 GREEN MEDALS for me.

If i send you 2, you can turn them into 2 green yourself.


Thats how the friend voucher system works, and is why i made this thread, as the only way to gain the best unlockables in Prime 3 is through friend vouchers.
