First you need install Unlauch 1.8 and make a NAND Backup please read here:


Please use then the HiyaCFW Helper (please be sure you have the App 7zip installed on the latest Version)
This helps you to get all the needed Files for use TWiLight Menu on your DSi.

Now everytime i open the album a white screen appears and then it freezes any solutions?

Windows explorer - right click on your SD Card - properties.
And maybe the 8 GB Card not works.

its fat 32 and it worked in the beginning does it matter if tehre is still pictures on it

Just for you I jumped down the rabbit hole and updated my DSi from 1.4.1E to 1.4.5E. I really wanted to stay on lower firmware just because. Curiosity got the better of me:

• Freezing is gone (It did not work for me either). Exploit seems only to work on latest firmware.
• Backed up my NAND
• Installed unlaunch 1.8, not 1.9 because of
  • this
  • and this: "untested" https://problemkaputt.de/unlaunch.htm
  • I don't know much about DSi and do not want to dig further at the moment

Result:
My acekard 2i – know to work only up to 1.4.4:

• works on the DSi with ulaunch 1.8 without HiyaCFW without TWiLight Menu++ from the Home Menu like a normal DS game.
• Gets "An error has occurred… blablabla" on my DSi XL with 1.4.5 with NO modification. Totally stock software.

I can't guarantee it will work for you, but at least for the acekard everything is fine. On the problemkaputt site I linked, the author stated that unlaunch disables the whitelist checks.

i started over but now i open album and twilightmenu pops up while i have it nowhere installed on my sd card, I did try it before though. what should i do? Also my dsi is on 1.4.5 so rip acekard

welp i see twilight menu on the top screen and on the lower scrren i see sd:/_nds/twilightmenu/main.srldr not found

i think im getting somewhere i just got the loading screen of twilightmenu by installing the main file into the t<ilightmenu file

You seem to have a "little" mess on your SD Card.

It is very difficult to help you now...

The way you "can" proceed is to backup your SD Card and download TWiLight Menu from here
https://github.com/DS-Homebrew/TWiLightMenu/releases
actual Version is 8.2.3

and copy it over your SD Card (overwrite exist files).
It is not the IDEAL solution but it seems you have troubles with doing the Exploit again with your SD Card.

Best way would be:

- Backup your SD Card data on your PC (in case of nothing goes)
- Format SD Card with FAT32
- put the attached Files on it.

- install unlaunch 1.8
- make a NAND Backup

You do not have the "absolutely" necessary file(s) for DS(i) games booting.
I carefully try to say it once again for you: you have a "little" mess on your SD Card.

The only thing you can do when you keep all your files is to download TWiLight Menu from the link i gave you 57 minutes ago and copy the needed files over to your SD Card.(please READ inside the TWiLight Package the folders says which one where have to go).

And FIRST please BACKUP your SD CARD for the case if something goes wrong.Then you have a copy of "your" Mod you made.
