Hacking Memory Card Issue

I wanted to upgrade my memory card from a 32 to a 64 so I formatted the 64 to fat32 using instructions I found in one of the threads here. Everything is on the sd card but my 3ds is not reading anything. I lost all my bought games and all the homebrew/cfw files are gone from my home screen as well. The only thing that shows up is LOZ 4 swords which came from the freeshop. I did the same thing with my 2ds going from 4gb to 8gb with out an issue. Any help or direction would be great.

I just selected everything on the sd card moved it to a folder on my desktop and copied it back to the new one after i verified it would work in the 3ds. I tried copying everything back to the old card and i get nothing.

did you format your old with the fat32formatter after copying everything off?

i'm wondering if you had an emunand, and the tickets are there, you may need to reinstall the apps you had installed to access them again

I dont think i reformatted the old card. So i would have to reinstall homebrew launcher and fbi.

Is there a way to reinstall the emunand?

with the old SD, load up GodMode9 and check to see if there is a EmuNAND

if there is, power off the system

and power it back on while holding L to boot into EmuNAND and check if everything is installed

EmuNAND is missing

the only think i can think of, is the tickets are missing, you may need to reinstall the tickets via TIKdevil, you'll need to install FBI via rosalina first, then install that, https://github.com/Kyraminol/TIKdevil/releases
or even just try the 3dsx via homebrew menu via rosalina

You most likely didn't copy the files correctly. I assume you initialized the SD card first, then transferred the files, so do this:

Go to the root of your SD card, open the "Nintendo 3ds" folder, then the folder with the long string of numbers/letters as a name. If there are two folders inside instead of one, move the files from the folder that is not empty to the empty one (one is definitely empty). That should fix it. Initializing creates a different folder than what the original was named as, so your installed games don't show.

I had a similar issue with my PS3 CFW wouldn't read my hard drive So like you I tried with those steps and didn't work so I found this program that does it and it worked after I used it you can even partition several percentages of your memory to different types of formats i'll try and look up the name of the program for you

I have the original contents of my sd card backed up on my cpu at home. If i just reformat the sd card and copy those files back on the sd card would that put thibgs right.

No need to reformat or anything. Go in the folder with the long name (not the private folder), then copy all contents from the folder inside there that's not empty, to the empty one and delete the old one.

Basically root->Nintendo 3DS->long name folder->another long name folder->backup/dbs/extdata/title folders inside.

Copy the contents of the "another long name folder" to the other empty folder in the same directory and delete old one. When initializing the SD card, the folder generated is different every time!

ok so once I went into Nintendo3ds folder then went into the string of numbers folder there is only 1 folder named with a string of numbers not 2

so root->Nintendo 3DS->long name folder->another long name folder->title (this is the way it sits on my cpu)

Then there was no problem during the transfer... Try reinstalling the tickets with FBI or something and see if it works.
