Dude, an nro file is to be played from the homebrew menu, not as a retroarch core
Just put this file in the "/switch" folder of the root of SD card.
And follow the instructions on the most recent download post

The MelonDS core for Switch Retroarch is another branch, this is a standalone homebrew. You can't use the current version on Switch Retroarch.

You need md5 checksum for correct DS bios. I had that happened before and found that I got wrong md5 checksum for DS bios and get the correct ones and works fine.

Hey everyone, I'm having issues with both games Pokemon Black and Pokemon Black 2, where saving my game does not work. Every time I save, and close it out, it ends up deleting the .nro file for NXShell and it completely removes all of my roms from the roms\ds folder. Im just wondering if theres a fix for this or if its just for these specific games, or if saving games just doesnt work in general.. Thanks in advance
*Update: It's having the same issue with Pokemon Soulsilver as well however it only deletes the ROM, not NXShell as well.

Is there a fix for overclocking resetting after suspending the device?
It makes playing a little difficult when resuming a game and it slows to a crawl.

I went today and looked at a motorcycle someone was selling. I get there and the battery on it was dead, so the guy grabbed a battery charger and hooked it up. He plugged it into the wall, and the motorcycle sparked and started smoking. Come to find out the bike uses a 6 volt battery and the guy had the charger set to 12v. I said sorry to the dude and walked away. I felt bad for him tho.
