Well i want a new wii. This will be the 3rd one i bought. 1st was a present from my parents, I broke it, 2nd i still have but i had to pay for it and i gave it to my sister because it can't play boots.


So which wii's can play backups?

Well, I'm sure someone around here knows which serial numbers are the hackable Wii's. Find out those serial numbers and buy a matching used one. Get the warranty too, just in case.

Naturally, don't tell the shopkeeper anything about hacking anything.

All Wii's are hackable, but Wii's created after September 2009 (first reported cases) have a D3-2 or D4 drive, which can't play DVD movies or burned games. There is no chance of you finding a new one that can play them, and anything that has been to Nintendo (refurbished Wii's) will likely have replaced disc drives.

I'm sure you can find the games pretty cheap online.

Your bet would be using a Wiikey SD Adapter + Swiss by emu_kidid, there are some glitches, but most games (from Nintendo) work quite fine.
