wtf. is it with that sht?
Holy crap!
here is the article
Drake Bell apparently feels that many artists ignore their Latin American fans.
OK, first, let's back things up: all of this started at the end of 2019,
when Drake performed at the Telehit, according to Reddit user
Privvy_Gaming, which is somewhat similar to MTV's Music Awards. The positive feedback he garnered from that performance made him realize that a large number of American artists ignore their Latin American fans, and fail to make an effort to effectively communicate with them.
So, on Nov. 17,
Drake took to Twitter to say he would no longer be speaking English. He tweeted, "mis redes sociales ahora solo estarán en español, no más inglés," which — when translated into English — means: "My social networks will now only be in Spanish, no more English." And that was what started it all.
While
Drake and Josh came and went in America many years ago, it's apparently still extremely popular in Latin America, according to Reddit user
joelesidin. Joelesidin also pointed out that Latin American fans apparently comment on Drake Bell and Josh Peck's social media pages more than Americans do, and therefore, it would make sense for him to learn some Spanish, and engage with them that way.
With that, Reddit user
ThatSandwich also pointed out that, for the last several months, Drake has mainly toured throughout Spanish-speaking countries, from Mexico to Latin America and Spain. So, to engage with his audiences off-stage on Twitter and Instagram is understandably quite useful.
From awkwardly
confronting Josh Peck for not getting a wedding invitation over social media, to changing his social media presence to Spanish, it seems like Drake Bell uses Twitter to do whatever the heck he wants these days... and we love that for him. He's definitely *finding a way* to stay relevant, and we're happy he's stuck around for so long. In the end, though, we're really jonesing for a reunion with Miranda Cosgrove and the whole gang. It would certainly bring 2020 up a notch in the best way possible.
