i have somebody that is sending their wii. but i still am not happy that it only worked for me due to a the ability to change discs. i thought people would have trouble with it before when i thought it only required pressing eject and sticking in a new DVD. now that they have to deal with finding a way to change the DVD without letting the wii know it, i doubt people will be able to get it to work.
Heck, I'd buy a wode just for this. So even if it requires a wode then it's still worth it to me. But I am sure I can swap discs without a problem. I have done it a few times so far already.

I'd be willing to send you my 003 wii for you to test with if you'd like. I could send it out Monday and be to you by Wednesday.

Do you have any idea what the exact bug was that allowed this to happen for you anyways? I'd love more info and I can test it out also. I got 50 blank DL DVD's that I can fool with. I dont mind if I get more coasters.

+1
i also have 003 wii and want to try it too

i didnt get the simple disc swap to work on my un-woded wii. but this isnt to say it cant be done by something as simple as opening the wii and physically tinkering with the dvd drive to allow you to eject the disc and allow inserting the other game.

FAIL

how is this possibly FAIL? you are aware that you are posting in a wii hacking section? if you cant deal with it, then dont do it. but it doesnt mean that other people arent comfortable with it. its not like this is some new concept deeeeeerrrrrr

@gianpune
Did you have plan to release iso that make SSBB boot from Recovery Menu?

I want to try to fix 003 error

Thanks

I have make mkwii(korean)+indiana lego

command : wit MIX mkw.iso ignore "@mkw.txt" indiana.iso select DATA as channel --dest outimage.iso --region korea --id RMCK01 --name MarioKartWii --overlay

playing black screen freeze

why??

MarioKart (KOR version) use IOS43 (or IOS46 I forget) which is different from
Lego Indiana Jones (IOS33) . So it's of no use to merge these 2 games..........

I don't understand how MarioKart usa would be a different situation. Mario Kart USA use ios36, does it also fail to load Lego Indiana Jones on ios33?

the ios number doesnt mattec. even the installer partition in mariokart uses a different ios that the actual game partition.

What wit commands did you use to make this work? I would like to do this, but I don't know how.

wit MIX mkw.iso ignore "@ mkw.txt" ......................

Please modify mkw.txt information ...

Well.............. if someone really tested KOR version of WiiFit or MarioKart or SSBB , he/she
should understand these KOR games use either IOS43 or 46 ... (KOR special IOS) which
is totally different from other region games. (no matter data or installer channel)

That's why I said it's of no use to use wit to merge these KOR games with US/JPN/PAL
games .

well if somebody knew how this works then they would understand that it doesnt matter what ios the games use.

OK, I have read this whole thread a few times. I understand the concept, but I can't wrap my head around how to make it work.
So I start with a retail iso of Mario Kart NTSC-KOR
Then a copy of Yo-Gi-Yo. Any region? Is one better that the other?

Then I:
wit MIX mkw.iso ignore "@mkw.txt" yogiyo.iso select DATA as channel --dest outimage.iso --region korea --id RMCK01 --name MarioKartWii --overlay

The mkw.txt is the list of ignore files. What should this mkw.txt contain? Is the above command proper?

mkw.txt is a list of files that are not needed for this request. This file are *not* removed in the file system to keep the signing, but the content isn't copied. The disc places are used for the overlay process to store data of the second image. (see http://wit.wiimm.de/wit/cmd-mix.html#ignore)

The ignore list (mkw.txt) can be a positive or negative list or a combination. Each line is one rule. Details: http://wit.wiimm.de/info/file-filter.html
