That, along with blocking URLs, stops online updates. Disc updates are located... On the disc! There's no way around it until/unless:Isn't there a way to brick updates through installing the a wrong IOS on the vwii side?
I wonder if Mario Maker would still boot up
- A firmware spoofer is created.
- An emuNAND is created.
- An IOSU exploit is created and allows us to run backups with the update partition taken out.
I don't know why everyone is so shocked that Mario Maker comes with [firmware higher than 5.3.2]. It's been out for long enough now that it's getting pressed into the discs. Every new game going forward will have [firmware higher than 5.3.2] on it.
