Gaming Mario Kart DS not on eShop today?

So, I woke up this morning and downloaded the DLC Pack 2 for Mario Kart 8.
It was really enjoyable 10/10.
But then, I went back to eShop to go purchase MKDS and relive my childhood.
It's not there, and it was said to be released the 23rd of April.
Does anyone know if it's coming out at a specific time today or..?

Has anyone found out whether or not MKDS will feature online yet?
I know some people received the game early on eShop, but I figured they weren't able to play online because the game wasn't launched to the public yet or something.

i don't think you can play online i havn't heard anyone doing it yet europe/AU has had it for weeks now.

Mario Kart DS on the Wii U doesn't have online play so if you're gonna buy it at some point make the best of offline play.

Ah, that's a shame, but thanks for the information.
Maybe if Mario Kart DS gets enough love on the Miiverse community page with a bunch of players demanding a patch to enable online play, we could receive it.

Oh okay. I just figured that if Nintendo wanted to, they could just unlock the block that's put on the Wi-Fi menu and link online connections to their new Nintendo Network servers.
