DLC Issue with Mario Kart 8

Hi, ( If someone can help with this , i've tried to get some help on the Homebrew Discord but no result in this )

I recently bought the DLC for Mario Kart 8 on a Japanese Wii U, installation works fine , until game boot.
It tries to verify and load something and pops up an error code ( 105-3881 ), launching Download Manager , will greet me with an message saying my DLC was corrupted
Before you ask , yes i did try the tik2sd method to delete the ticket and let the eshop create another one but the title id in tik2sd for DLC isnt in there , which makes it very odd
I have bought the game as well, reinstalled the game, the DLC, but no result , i would appreciate some help

that's odd. it only errors when opening the game? a ticket problem will likely cause it to fail at "install."

you could try what I did with lucadian chronicles--I downloaded the wiiu usb helper version of the game, since it was taken off the eshop, then deleted the fake ticket. you could try that as something may be wrong with the dlc download. delete the fake ticket, then go on the eshop and redownload the game. I can't recall if it will force you to redownload all of it or not. in my case, I already had the retail ticket. all dlc must go in the same container or else I don't think spoofing the system into think you had all retail tickets would work. can you download something free like the mercedes benz dlc?

i wouldve done that way earlier , but since JPN consoles has no sigpatches with homebrew, its basically useless , and no , the mercedes DLC does the same error as the DLC 1/2 , basically it says download finish , then i try to open the game , verifying files , pops the error

I'm pretty sure sigpatches work with JPN consoles as people use them to run out of region games, change the text language throughout the home menu, change themes, etc. are you signing into the Japanese store? I don't know what might happen if you could someone connect to another store.

I believe people still buy the Japanese wiius for two reasons--that region is the only one that got the 32GB white console, and they're generally cheaper than anywhere else.

sigpatches on my console would simply not work , no matter what you do , mocha , tiramisu etc , and no i bought a gift card from play asia ( a japanese one ) just to get the DLC

I'm not sure what would help. the versions.bin only has updates and base games, but I know the tik2sd will show dlc. is this to a usb or internal where you're downloading it to?

maybe check if the content is in the import folder. that's where it's download to before being installed. kind of a stretch though.

No , this is installed on the NAND , there is no USB drive inserted in the console

I'd wait for V10lator . I have no idea what could be the reason for this other than something wrong being with the Japanese shop, but that might be difficult to know for sure. there's free dlc with breath of the wild iirc, could be thinking of the wrong game, but if you have the game, see what happens when you download and install that.

Unfortunatly, i only bought Mario Kart 8 on this console, to do some sort of grind, ill wait for the person you mentionned

I'm really unsure but I think this is indeed a ticket issue.

@EnHasSkill There are mutiple DLCs available. Please deinstall all of them. Then deinstall MK8 itself, too. Now delete the tickets for all of them - also for DLC you maybe tried in the past (skip what you can't find but I guess the issue is either a ticket left over from another DLC or even MK8 itself). After that install MK8 first, then the DLC you bought. Before installing any further DLCs: Check that the game works this way, please.

In case that won't work: Do you have any other games or stuff installed on the Wii U?

//EDIT: Note that DLC tickets stack up. So there will be just one ticket even if you have mutiple DLCs installed. And this is what I think we're seeing here: You tried some other DLC before buying the one in question, so the ticket from the legit one got merged with the unlegit. That's why you get this error and can't find the correct ticket. You need to remove the unlegit ticket before installing the DLC and that's what my steps above try to ensure.
