It could be just anything that's on the disc. If one of your IOS, or the MIOS, BC or whatever is not at the same version as found on disc or higher, you get that update prompt.

If anything you have really needs an update, i think you would notice. So best is really to enable the update blocker again. Well or you could update(only correct region!), if you are sure the update wouldn't mess anything up. I could imagine that you have a cMIOS installed(based on V4) and the disc contains V5.

If you really want to check what exactly the update would do, use WUFE or WiiXplorer to dump the update partition of the disc, and use SysCheck to check the versions of all IOS, as well as MIOS and BC, on your Wii. Compare the versions of everything found on the disc with those in your SysCheck log. Any mismatches (well, any where the disc version is higher) are what its trying to install via the update. Chances are its probably safe. If you're really paranoid, and don't want to block updates, then install the WADs you dumped from the disc with WUFE or WiiXplorer that are higher than the corresponding titles installed on your Wii manually. But really, if it ain't broke, there's no need to fix it. Stick the hack back on and provided everything works, there's no need to worry.

in that case, there is no such thing as homebrew launcher for aroma

I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar
