Gaming Mario Kart 7 problem

Hi,

I have downloaded CIA file Mario Kart7, with Update 1.1 Cia also. But i enter the game, it keeps me saying "Update available", i click to install. It seems that he's installing, but at the end, there's no update, and if i enter the game again, it warns me again about the update. How can i update this?
It's on a N3dsXL.

Maybe you have a not correct Region Update File ?

When you have installed both Files,please look into "FBI" and
look of the matching Version/Region and Version Number of the Game and the Update please.

And when you look now under the Option "Titles" you see Mario Kart 7 and please tell us your Version now.
With the installed Update it should be 2112 (2.4.0)

So then it is not the correct/matching Update File/Version/Region you have.
Please look for "an other" Version.

if you look at the main menu, is there a v1.1 sign next to the online multiplayer option? it could be a bad cia

You can Update your "not buyed" Game with the regular Option ("Y" for Update) if your 3DS is tied to your eShop Account.No Worries.

That hasn't worked for me once on pirated games... I have to use an update cia. Stil worth a shot though

If you do not get the Error Message,then it should work with "Free Games" too.
Maybe it does not work with US/JPN Games on an EU 3DS ?

updating via the eshop will work as long as the region is the same iirc.

ok, that makes a bit more sense as i think 99% of my cias are us. Except warioware gold which has a region free update and did not return an error code but also did not install the update. I just got the cia.

afaik, region free is still restricted by the actual region of the game cia.
