Hacking Mario and Luigi Bowsers Inside Story Cheats Not Working

Yes I have enabled cheats and I have the latest cheat database and this is what it says, NO CHEATS FOUND IN DATABASE. Can anyone help me?

Patched rom doesn't work with cheats.

Install AKAIO 1.5 and use a clean rom and cheats will work fine.

we don't support patched rom
so try clean rom as suggested and make sure you are using AKAIO 1.5
and
also make sure cheat is ENABLED

just thought id let everyone know that the game will not work if you enable boswer cheats- hp never decrease or sp never decrease not to sure why but the game always crashes when i try to pick these cheats however all the rest that i have tried seem to work fine.
