Hey there, as you know,
Nexon has announced they do not have any plans on making ,
Maplestory DS have an english release.
Now because of this, is anyone planning on
translating the korean version into english. As I know, korean is
much harder to translate than japanese-english.

the game is not even official dumped yet...
i know the chinese are planning something for it and as usual they don't fail
translation projects on gbatemp? i am not really sure about it
since psycoblaster is a korean and maybe she will step in and help us

The game was released in Korea on April 15. Nobody has dumped it yet.

Someone out there probably bought it in the states/canada and is just waiting to ship it and dump it!

Well it is maplestory, im guessing you dont really need to understand if your going to grind it out.

Thus why language barrier shouldn't be a problem : )
And at the least some people new to maple could get a sense of maple.
Well not that i suggest people new to maple should start off by playing the ds game,
since most players grew up with the original PC MMORPG. Now thats strongly suggested : )

Well, I mean, if they don't want quality but just need to get the gist of it, then I totally support. I hope it isn't gonna be super story oriented like Ragnarok. -_-

Often it's pretty damn hard to get the text out of a game. Personally I'd go for the quick-and-dirty translation too, but it might be too much work.

Erm guys,
firstly the game isn't dumped yet so the translation cannot start
secondly, if the translation is going to proceed i can help cause i am korean and have finished VCE Korean which is like College standard Korean IN VIC, AUS
thirdly, can't wait for the game xD looks good (Y)
finally, u need to understand the storyline somewhat for quests and stuff otherwise it will be a game with pure grinding.....
