M3 Team WILL pull this off..
They did great job it the past, and this will be their masterpiece (I hope so)..I just don't know how they did such a lousy work on current firmware (It doesn't bother me, but everything in the past was really great)..

I have run it on my DS - and one word : FABULOUS!

It looks great, it's quick - just as i expected. NDS games doesn't work yet, homebrew is working good. Can't wait to english beta - this chinese/japanese language is not for me

This actually IS an English version, someone just needs to make a skin with english writing on their pictures.

EDIT: Some bits are actually in Chinese/Japanese, but not much.

Is there anyone who could translate those pictures that have japanese/chinese..Just from the pictures in the first post, and write here what they say..
So the others, who are making skins, could make "English friendly" skin..It could be step closer to full enjoy the new firmware!!

I'd contemplate getting an M3 DS Real if they were adding add'l game-related features versus this multimedia stuff (not to troll...some people love that on their DS, but for me, it's about the games).

What do you mean, improved compatibility? I mean, it runs every game I've thrown at it, what else do you expect?

As for RealTime Save... I don't know if they will add it. I just won't expect it, but it is certainly a possibility.

I just hope they'll make this awesome OS while still keeping their old features. If they'd drop GBA support I'd be really mad! However, they wouldn't do that. Right...

Meh, forget that. There's too much Japanese so I haven't got a clue what's going on. It's really nice though, very responsive and easy to use, the built in DPG and MP3 player is awesome and I'm sure with lots of features this will be an amazing OS...

its a shame i got the g6 and not the m3 since i would have got bigger memory this new firmware sooner, and the gba expansion pack, rumble pack and the other1.

can some1 post the skin files you from the new fw so i can edit them and make new skins?

I'm pretty sure that the firmware will work for the G6 REAL since the current firmware is the same, you might only have some small glitches if any and that it will say M3 REAL and not G6..

Remember that - as I already said before - the files are in Adobe Fireworks PNG-format. That means, all objects are easily and sepereatly editable when using Fireworks (except the few BMPs). The files in the above archive are already edited by me from pink to blue and all Japanese text has been translated to english where possible.

the betas aren't working, and it hasn't even been confirmed that the first final release will work on g6 either (maybe the second release down the road). but ahtin says he is campaigning against it.
