M3 Game Manager & English Firmware v29 Released

Please take the weekend off!

I'll take a double of whatever the G6/M3 Team has in the mornings. This version once again adds further support for Pocket Monster Diamond & Pearl (Japan), improvements for e-book, direct viewing of web documents, larger .txt. files, black style for Media-Extend and more.

It seems they still writing the readme.
You must use the firmware V29 and GM V29 to reslove Pocket Monster save problem.
And you need use GM V29 to convert Pocket Monster roms again.

As of this time. Only Simplified Chinese firmware is out. I assume Traditional Chinese and English will be out soon.

Open Season still doesn't work. Freezing up during 2nd stage.

I'm running it with V27 and used to play a lot. Don't forgot to check the "force r/w" box. Anyway, if it still doesn't work, try safemode (it was working with V24f).

The V28 already fixed it, maybe V27, don't remember. You can run it in DMA 4x.

That's weird, I've followed the explanations on the m3wiki and it's still not saving... :/
Ditto, save disappears after a few restarts.

Try deleting it from your card, and then repatching it with the newest firmware. From what I remember, updating the loader without repatching the game didn't make it work. Its probably like that with Pokemon too.

You can still keep your save if you leave it in the SRAM when you delete the game of your card.

From czw's post:

"M3 Game Manager V29 + loader V29
=================================
Multimedia:
-----------
-Directly support viewing *.htm, *.html, *.asp, *.aspx睿*.mht web document.
-Add more display mode for E-book
-Movie, music, e-book and pictures are supported using "L&R" lock function.
-Support opening unlimited size of *.txt file. (Maximum 262144 lines can be viewed.)
-Change a new "black" style menu for Media-extend.

Games:
------
-Fully support the save function of the "poke" games.

For someone who want to keep the current gamesave data of "poke" games.
1) Run the game and make sure that the gamesave data is still exist.
2) Install the "M3 Game Manager Version V29" and update the "M3 loader V29".
3) Copy the game by using the "M3 Game Manager Version V29" as usual.
4) Choose the game by moving the curcor. Press the "select" button, the saver backup menu will appear. Press button "A" to confirm the process.
note:
-The last gamesave data will be stored into the default gamesave file after doing the step 4.
-Please do not load other ds games or program through the above steps and please do not forget to do the step 4 (IMPORTANCE)."

So yes you need to repatch the rom with gm29 and if you want to keep your old saved game, you need to follow those steps to get it working.

Has anyone gotten the GBA-DS Link Feature of the M3 to work with D/P and one of the GBA games? I updated the firmware, repatched D/P, have the Japanese Fire Red on there...

On the Game Manager when I pick the Pearl ROM and click the Linkage tab, I click Linkage Enabled and I see "Is a new game or it does not support linkage function." Do we have to wai tfo ran offical thingy to put Fire Red or something on it or what?
