Hacking LU65, Already had hbc freezes on bannerbomb load

I have experience with modding but dont want to brick this wii, so I came to ask all of your opinion.
A friend brought me an LU65 4.2u that already had HBC on it. No preloader and no nand backup.
Problem is I cant run bannerbomb. when i click on sd card it hangs.
any idea?

use a different version of banner bomb or make sure your clicking sd card menu

Also if it has HBC on it already, why would you need bannerbomb?
