Gaming Lots of PSP questions and help needed!!

Wow, I'm officially stuck with a lot of PSP concepts. I got my slim today, hacked it with 5.00 M33 - 4. Great system overall, got my PSP isos to run smoothly. I have questions on the really big stuff, and the guides I saw were kinda outdated and ended up confusing me. Whoever helps me gets cookies.

1. PSX Emulation
a) Nothing that I do works. I just pretty much downloaded a gigabyte of stuff that doesn't work. Can someone point me to an up-to-date tutorial?

2. GBA emulation
a) I tried using gPSP and nothing loaded. I got a corrupted message or game cannot be started. Once again, help me and pleaes try to point me to a helpful tutorial?

3. PSP 5.00 M33
a) I can't update via internet? O_O

That's all that I need right now, any help is grand! Remember, I'll give you a cookie if you help me!

1. Do you have Popsloader? If you do, is it activated in the plug-ins menu.

2. UO gpsp kai 3.4 test 2 build 69 is what I use, though I think bios are required. Not too sure.

3. Well 5.00 M33-6 is the latest try updating to it manually

First of all, update to 5.00 m33-6.

1) Have you converted your psx isos to eboots? Eboots go in the game folder like homebrew does

2) Do you have the bios rom in your gpsp folder?

3) Should work, but never tried. Just grab the latest update from psp-hacks or somewhere and do the update manually.

Edit: well, twiffles was faster. Combine his and my answer, and you'll probably find the solution.

convert the Ps1 game image to an eboot with a POPstation app like psx2psp 1.4.2

2.
gpsp is what use use
you may need t use the 3.xx+ version (gpsp kai )

3.
d/l the 5.00 m33-6 update
and run it

Popsloader is a plugin that let you use different pops version on the CFW you are on

some games do work right on 5.00
and some game work better on older pops

well basically some PSX Eboots run better on certain FW e.g ff9 runs well on FW 3.71 so popsloader just lets you use the PSX loading from previous FW so no, its not necessary but does really help in some games e.g ff9 crashes on videos if not ran on 3.71 FW etc oh and no you won't need it if you use the pops program oh and use popsloader GUI as i find it to be the most straight forward

do you mean what pops to have them on ?
if so iv never really played them on psp although yu-gi-oh rocked my socks on ps1

if you look on google some were there is a list of games and the best pops for them

(i think i might get that yughi game
