I formatted my new micro sd card to fat 32, I made a backup for my files, but when I actually transferred all the files over and insert it to my 3ds, all my software was gone, but I can still boot in gm9 and luma. Help?

basically you would have to do a system transfer or ctrtransfer
So is there anything I can do now?
a system transfer or ctrtransfer
What you did sounds the same as what I always did when buying a larger card. It was never a problem either. So is there anything I can do now?

can you put the sd back into the other 3d and see if all the games reappearI don't understand why this happened. It was the same console and everything but for whatever reason, everything is gone. It's not like i switched my 3ds or anything. I even did these upgrades before.
Is it possible Luma is booting from CTRNAND instead of the card so none of the contents are showing up?I don't understand why this happened. oh im an idiot it was the same system, do you have a backup, if not then there is nothing we can do
It was an optional step in the setup process and will boot into Luma from system memory if no card is inserted and maybe if Luma is simply not present on the card, but I'm unsure about that last part. I do know that when it boots this way, none of your digital games will show up.How would I do that?
okay wow its not your fault but you should have told us it was an sdxc cardEDIT: I got it to work again, I just had to put my backup back on my old SD card. I think the problem started b/c my new sd card was a sdxc and not a sdhc.
sdxc should work. I just checked and have one in my 3DS. Did you format it with gm9?EDIT: I got it to work again, I just had to put my backup back on my old SD card. I think the problem started b/c my new sd card was a sdxc and not a sdhc.
can confirm, i have an sdxc (64gb) with fat32 and it workssdxc should work. I just checked and have one in my 3DS. Did you format it with gm9?
As stated above by @98otiss, guiformat is a great option as well.

you have to format the sdxc card as fat32 because thats what the 3ds understands
for that you have to use guiformat

just a note, formatting erases everything, so make sure your backup is in a safe place
@RocksRule21, you would be wise to check your newly purchased SD card with H2testw like the post I linked.
are you sure the sd card lock isnt on?Sorry I didn't say that before, but I did say I formated it in fat32.
Will do next time.
