The DSTwo, when updated, works on the latest 3DS firmware.
No update for the AK2i, do not expect one because the AK2i physically ran out of internal space for updates. In addition nobody's ever made a custom firmware update for carts, as they're encrypted and cart-specific. The AK2i appears to support 3DS 4.3.x at the most.
