NES: NESTopia from Retroarch
SNES: https://github.com/exsinner/CATSFC-libretro/releases/
GB/C: Gambette from Retroarch
GBA: https://s3.amazonaws.com/mgba/mGBA-nightly-latest-vita.7z
Genesis: https://github.com/frangarcj/Genesis-Plus-GX/releases/
Master System: https://github.com/frangarcj/SMSplusVITA/releases

These are the emu's I've had the best experience with, the only one in that list that has occasional slow downs for me is mGBA, but it's only for the more complex game so most will run well.

As for installing Retroarch, there's nothing special you need to do, you just install the .vpk for the core you want to use (so the NEStopia one for NES, Gambette for GB/C) After that it's simply launching the app, and loading the ROMs by going to "Load Content" and navigating to your game.

Are those Snes and Genesis versions faster than RA cores?

The SNES version runs everything I've tested at full speed, I'm not sure how fast the Retroarch core is though so I can't compare. Same thing for Genesis, I haven't played a game that didn't run at full speed on that particular emulator so I haven't bothered trying out Retroarch.

does mgba play gb/c games?
No, mGBA is a GBA emulator only. If you don't like messing with Retroarch, Realboy is another alternative that will play GB/C games just fine. It's not as fully featured as the Retroarch core, but it's a lot more simple and easy to use. https://github.com/xerpi/realboy-vita/releases

Ahh, actually you're right. I just tested it myself, seems GB/C games also work with mGBA as well. I always assumed the Vita version was a bit more stripped down feature wise than the others.
