mmmm good point, specially since you need the update to see the dlc...

Yes it is fully updated and won't run through Mii Maker.

Everyone's using Smash Bros for DLC ... i guess there's a problem with Art Atelier mode.

I guess the host game itself "Smash Bros." or "Art Atelier" needs DLC support.

Looking at the sourcecode, Loadiine replaces the contents of /vol/content, /vol/save and /vol/aoc. But there is no /vol/aoc for Art Atelier...

Might be a problem...

jumping to another topic, will loadiine ever support another format besides fat32?
because some games its said that they have a better perfomance with a 64 k cluster size
and the other formats support bigger cluster sizes which i believe, a bigger cluster size would mean a faster and better perfomance with the games like bayonetta or super mario 3d world
Not impossible. exfat support is being worked on for Nintendont so this could always be ported across.

The file system is not the bottleneck, however. It is the Wii U's slow SD slot.

The update can only be stored on usb if the whole game is backed to usb and loadijne basically takes the game as a whole from the folders on SD and basically injects it onto any game it runs on, so the only way i'd possibly see that happening would be if we found a way to manipulate let's say smash to actually only be a launcher and then using that.
AFAIK without cracking the encryption this would only be possible with IOSU orfull USB access in general, which we dont have.

Hey folks, does it matter which region your save is? For example, could I use an EU save with a US game?
Most of the games if not all should work crossregion, but no guarantees.
The ones i can confirm from experience are all the mario games, zelda wwhd and xenoblade x.
It SHOULD only be a problem if saves also save something region specific like a language setting, which in this case is handled by the console itself

Here ya go. Just make sure to copy your current version of the elf into the folder, since this is the really old one.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
