Is there a limit to how many games you can put in your games folder when you run a R4i3DS Gold on a 3DS? I tried to look at my folder full of games and it wouldn't load, but my folder with one or two games works fine. Thanks!

The limit would be the size of your flash cards memory card,
4GB would hold far less then 16 or 32.
I use 8GB and it holds more games then I could hope to play in awhile so i dont suggest going to get a 32.
By the time you play it all on a 16gb, you could easily just change some out for new ones and save a few bucks.

Having said that, a folder with 196 roms in it that is just 10.9GB in size.... thats it. Uncompressed.

The thing to watch for is the class. Class 4 or better SHDC cards only.
I have
2GB class 2
2GB class 4
4GB (unmarked but its cheap and likely a class 2)
8GB class 4
32GB class 10 (use this one in my A500)

all cards are fine except the class 2 lags like a b8&% and the 4GB generic does too (which i think is a class 1 or 2 as well)

The upper limits for flash carts tend to be in the 250+ range, so people usually just put games into alphabetical folders. Makes them a lot easier to find too.
That sounds like the limit would probably be 256 files per folder on a lot of cards. Why on earth even a pirate would need that many ROMs is beyond me.

I think Game streaming should work like this.... Local Hardware able the run the game fine, game engine and common assets stored locally, all FMV and music and textures could be streaming

Or free government supplied high speed internet be nice also. Like Obama care. Xdqwerty that's cool, its time consuming but rewarding once done or playable, to see what you've made from scratch. Animations take forever, but worth it.

    @BigOnYa,
and the visual aspect of the game is quite crude (the sprite that looks best is that of the protagonist just because he is a stickman with sunglasses)

There is a bullets behaviour you assign to your character, that makes the code easier, under "behaviours"
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
i meant that when the character is pointing to the right, the bullets spawn where they should, but when he is on the right, they move to the right but the spawn point is incorrect
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Itch.io has lots of free assets also. Under the bullets behavior tab, there is a "rotate bullets" option, can try that. Or in the code can try
    - fire bullet Player.X(PlayerDirection)

That's cool tho, I'm proud of you going back to it, not giving up. It is difficult at first to learn, but fun once you get the hang of it. I think I've watched every tutorial video there is, but I still struggle sometimes to get stuff to work right. But gotta keep trying dif things, and eventually you will get it right.
