They'll never be able to stop the sale of the PS3 and both sides know it.

The real reason for filing a lawsuit like this one is in the hopes of getting a large cash settlement, which will probably be the case. Sony's defense is weak on this one. They've got the company cornered on a technicality.

companies sue each other over patent issues all the time

the cell phone companies seem to be the worst when it comes to this

Sony Bravias have long been infamous for QC issues. I hope you enjoy the TV you might just have to send back, maybe even multiple times.

I had to laugh. The PS3 gets hacked, and now it may be pulled off shelves until the Blu-ray aspect of it is removed. PS3 could even loose the case against their hacked systems because of this. All in good timing.

these types of cases almost always get settled outside of court for an undisclosed amount of money
